Sparkling: The Agent Prepares Every Trade, You Confirm It

Sparkling is a trading app that comes with an agent. Its slogan sums up how it works: “AI preps every move. You confirm.” The agent turns your request into a ready trade, and nothing is executed until you tap Confirm.

This page explains what Sparkling is, where it runs, what you can do with it from South Africa and what the risks are. It is not a full guide to wallets, stablecoins or futures. Each of those has its own page, linked where it comes up: how to start crypto trading, stablecoins, crypto wallets and crypto futures.

Advantages

Why traders choose Sparkling

Self-custody, an agent that prepares every trade, and fees you see before you sign.

Crypto is volatile. Sparkling does not promise returns.

Sparkling in Short

  • Sparkling is a trading app that comes with an agent: you type what you want, the agent prepares the trade, you confirm it.
  • The agent cannot execute anything without your confirmation.
  • Sparkling runs inside Telegram as a mini app. There is nothing to download.
  • From one balance you can hold dollar stablecoins, swap coins, buy tokenised US stocks, trade event markets and open long or short positions.
  • Your keys stay with you. Every Sparkling wallet is self-custodial, so Sparkling cannot freeze or move your balance.
  • Sparkling is available in South Africa. Authorisation of Sparkling by South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) has not been confirmed. See the South Africa section below.

What Is Sparkling and Who Presses the Button?

On Sparkling, the agent does the preparation and you make the decision. You write a request in plain English, such as “swap 100 USDT to BTC” or “show my PnL”. The agent picks the route and the venue, sizes the trade and puts the price and fees on one card. Nothing happens until you tap Confirm.

Most crypto apps are judged by their list of features. A more useful question is who makes the final call. On a classic exchange you build the order yourself: you choose the pair, enter the amount and watch the result. With Sparkling the setup work moves to the agent, while the decision stays with you.

Sparkling is not a trading bot that trades on your behalf, Signals and strategies can suggest trades, but every one comes to you as a card to confirm. If you are still comparing app types, our guide to crypto apps in South Africa sets them side by side.

Agents

Agents that prepare. You decide.

Each agent builds the trade for its market — price, route and fees on one card. Nothing is sent until you confirm.

Swaps.

Swap tokens, stablecoins and tokenised US stocks in one request. The agent finds the route across DEXes and bridges and shows the full cost first.

Strategies.

Pick a strategy and the agent prepares each trade for it. You review and confirm every step — nothing runs on its own.

Predictions.

Take a position on real-world event outcomes via Polymarket. The agent shows the price and possible payout before you sign.

Perpetuals

Long or short with built-in risk limits. High risk: you can lose your margin quickly. The agent shows liquidation price and fees before you confirm.

What You Can Do on Sparkling

Sparkling puts five things on one balance. The agent is not a sixth market: it is the layer that prepares the trade in each of them.

What What it does Read more
Hold dollars Keep your money in USDT or USDC, dollar stablecoins worth about $1 each Stablecoins explained · How to buy USDT in South Africa
Swap coins Swap any coin for any other, across networks, without a manual bridge Crypto swaps
Buy US stocks Buy tokenised shares of companies like Tesla, Nvidia and Apple, issued by xStocks How to buy US stocks from South Africa
Trade events Take a position on real-world outcomes, such as Premier League or AFCON matches, through Polymarket Prediction markets
Go long or short Trade on a price moving up or down, with optional leverage, through Hyperliquid Crypto futures and liquidation risk

The flow is the same everywhere: the agent prepares the route, venue and size, and you confirm. Leverage raises both possible gains and possible losses, so it makes sense to start with the first rows of the table. Availability of individual features varies by jurisdiction.

Where Your Money and Keys Are

Your balance sits in a self-custodial wallet that only you control. Sparkling never sees your keys, and they never leave your device. Key storage and transaction signing run on infrastructure from Turnkey.

This changes what can happen to your money. On an exchange, the company holds your funds and can freeze the account. On Sparkling there is nobody who can freeze or move your balance, because Sparkling does not hold it.

You don’t need a seed phrase to get started: sign in with email or connect a wallet. You can export your seed phrase at any time. The flip side of self-custody is responsibility. Keep your login and recovery details safe: you are responsible for access to your wallet. Our guide to crypto wallets explains the different wallet models and recovery options.

From Request to Confirmed Trade, Step by Step

Every trade on Sparkling follows the same five steps, whether it is a swap, a stock or an event market.

You Type Your Request

Write what you want in plain English: “buy Tesla for $50”, “swap 100 USDT to BTC”, “show my PnL”.

The Agent Prepares Route, Price and Size

The agent reads the market, picks the venue and the route, and sizes the trade to your request.

You See the Quote and Fees

A card shows the asset, amount, price, route and Sparkling’s fee before anything happens. You can reject it or change the request.

You Confirm

One tap on Confirm sends the trade. Without it, nothing is executed.

The Trade Settles On-Chain

The trade settles on the blockchain and your balance updates in the app. On-chain trades cannot be reversed, so check the card before you confirm.

Who Sparkling Suits and Who It Doesn’t?

Sparkling fits people who already use Telegram and want several markets on one balance they control.

It suits you if you:

  • want to keep part of your money in dollars on your phone
  • already use Binance P2P, Luno or VALR and are tired of moving funds between an exchange, a wallet and other apps
  • want US stocks, coin swaps and event markets without opening separate accounts
  • prefer to confirm every trade yourself rather than hand control to a bot

It is not for you if you:

  • want someone else to hold your funds and recover your access for you
  • expect an app that trades on its own and guarantees returns
  • need a regulated local broker or a ZAR bank account in the app
  • are new to leverage and plan to start with it: begin with stablecoins and swaps first

Risks and What Sparkling Is Not

Crypto prices can fall sharply, and you can lose some or all of the money you put in. The agent prepares trades; it does not make them safe.

Main risks:

  • Market risk. Coins, tokenised stocks and event contracts can all lose value quickly.
  • Leverage and liquidation. With leverage, a small price move against you can close your position and wipe out your margin. The agent sizes positions within built-in risk limits, but limits reduce risk rather than remove it.
  • Event markets. If the outcome goes the other way, the contract is worth $0.
  • Protocol risk. Trades run through third-party venues and smart contracts, which can fail or be attacked.
  • Price and slippage. The execution price can differ slightly from the quote, and network fees apply.
  • Irreversibility. A confirmed on-chain trade cannot be cancelled.
  • Wallet access. Lose access to your wallet and nobody can restore it for you.

Sparkling is not:

  • an exchange or a broker holding your money
  • a bank, and your balance is not insured
  • a bot that trades without your confirmation
  • financial advice: the agent’s suggestions are not recommendations to buy or sell
